Chwarae Teg Agile Nation is holding an invitation only event to celebrate International Women's Day
At the Women Inspiring Women event 6 guest speakers from a range of different backgrounds and professions will be sharing their sources of inspiration that have helped them to successfully unlock their potential in their chosen fields.
The speakers are, Tessa Sanderson CBE, British Olympic Gold Medallist, Hayley Parsons, Chief Executive of Internet comparison site Gocompare, Charlotte Williams OBE, author of Sugar and Slate, Denise Morris and Janet Hay founders of 4ward Development and Bethan Jenkins, the youngest AM in the Welsh Assembly Government.
The Women Inspiring Women event is generating significant interest amongst our invited guests however 30 places have been allocated for women who would like to attend.
These places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

International Development Summit
The event provides an unprecedented opportunity to connect with international development networks across Wales and to engage in dialogue around key issues being addressed concerning good practice and the shape future international development in Wales.
The Summit will be addressed by the First Minister, Carwyn Jones, and Gareth Thomas MP - UK Minister of State for International Development.
The Summit is a very exciting initiative which many Welsh Diaspora and BME groups will be attending together with large and small International Development organisations and charities. It will showcase what is currently happening in Wales and begin to framework future strategy.
The Event is being run by SMIDOS, with funding from the Welsh Assembly Government.
The attendance at the Conference is FREE but prior booking is required.

'Promoting Women in Public & Political Life' Conference
Cardiff Council's Equality Team and the South Riverside Community Development Centre are holding a conference to celebrate International Women's Day 2010.
This event is being held on the 9 th March in the Committee Rooms at County Hall, Cardiff Bay between 9:30am and 3pm.
The theme of the conference is: 'Promoting Women in Public & Political Life'. Confirmed speakers include:
- Jane Hutt AM - Minister for Business and Budget
- Helen Mary Jones AM - Deputy Leader, Plaid Cymru
- Uzo Iwobe - Former Commissioner to the Commission for Racial Equality UK
- Councillor Judith Woodman - Deputy Leader of Cardiff Council
Workshops will be run by the Fawcett Society, Women Making a Difference and the Equality and Human Rights Commission on themes such as 'Getting Involved in Politics' and 'Women and Representation in Public and Political Life'.
There will also be performances, information stands, networking opportunities and a buffet lunch.

Cardiff Chwarae Teg International Women's Day Debate.
As part of its programme to celebrate International Women's Day
Chwarae Teg have organised a debate in Cardiff on Tuesday 9 th March where three key topics affecting women will be discussed, including women and the economy, women as carers, and women and the green agenda.
The debate will help to capture the views of Welsh women on these topics and Chwarae Teg will use the findings to help influence the work it undertakes to support the economic development of women.
This debate is already fully booked, however any group of women from anywhere in Wales can take part by running their own Chwarae Teg International Women's Day Debate. All the information including a Debate Guide, Facilitators Guide and a Topic Guide can be downloaded from www.chwaraeteg.com . The guides provide all the information needed to run your own debate.
Anyone who runs their own debate can also submit their findings to the Chwarae Teg website where they will be published. Chwarae Teg will also review all of the findings from the debates to help in its policy development.

JASMINE DONAHAYE is the author of Self-portrait as Ruth (Salt). With her first collection Misappropriations (Parthian) shortlisted for the Jerwood Aldeburgh Prize, she is currently writing a work of creative non-fiction entitled The Palestine or Orange-tufted Sunbird.
GEMMA JUNE HOWELL is the author of a collection of short stories, Inside the Treacle Well (Hafan Books). A Finalist for the John Tripp Award for Spoken Poetry, she is also the editor of the quarterly magazine MYscellaneoUS, which aims to celebrate untapped creative talent in Wales.
There will also be an open mic section for aspiring and established poets [limited number of places, so be quick!]. Come and read in our lovely, loft-like venue, or simply relax with a beer and hear the words flow! Bring your friends and come join us for another fun Sunday soon.
