Esyllt Harker
@Theatr Harlech
Singer and storyteller Esyllt Harker is one of Wales’ leading bi-lingual performance storytellers.
She tells myths and legends rooted in landscape, history and memories of Wales, interwoven with song and mixed with tales from further afield. Her ability to make her Welsh material easily comprehensible to
non-Welsh speakers means that she is very much in demand wherever the Welsh language is to be celebrated. Ideal event for Welsh learners.

COMMEMORATING THE 1984 MINER’S STRIKE THROUGH WOMEN’S EYE
@Theatr Mwldan
An evocative and challenging multimedia production commemorating a quarter of a century since the miners’ strike of 1984. Young people of Mess Up The Mess Theatre Company work alongside professional artists to create a vibrant and dynamic performance of conflict and allegiance, pinpointing highs and lows from local women’s perspectives of this controversial time. From distributing food parcels to those most in need, to picketing and marching, women were in the thick of the action standing up for their values and community. This unique production promises to provide a fresh snapshot on a time that has defined modern Britain.
